Many of our customers like to personalise their chosen wooden gift with a special message, to commemorate their 5th or 9th wedding anniversary, birthday or other significant occasion.
We have a cute little laser engraver as part of the team and are therefore delighted to be able to offer this personalisation option on many of our handcrafted wooden keepsakes and items of wooden jewellery, giving you the ability to present a truly special and thoughtful gift to your loved one. The engraver burns your chosen words onto the wood, to create a truly unique personalised wooden gift. And best of all, this added service is usually included for FREE!
As you browse through our new website full of beautiful wooden presents you will see that individual product descriptions detail where personalisation is an option, and you are then prompted to add your inscription details when ‘adding to bag’, if desired. Favoured options are names, dates, or short celebratory messages such as ‘Happy 5th Anniversary’.
Top tips for best results:
for wooden pen boxes a maximum of two short lines of text works best
for wooden pendants concise inscriptions look neatest e.g initials or a date - these are added to the back of the pendant
inscriptions inside wooden rings are tricky but possible! We have to tilt the ring on the engraving bed to allow the burning nib to access the wood - and because of the natural curve of the surface long sections of text tend to burn in an ‘arc’ shape. This is why our website prompt asks for a maximum of 8 characters only - perfect for a 9th wedding anniversary date e.g ‘03.10.19’ or two initials separated by a heart ‘E ♥ E’.
