This lovely aged golden Oak lends itself beautifully to the art of making wooden rings and is not only stunning to behold but wonderfully tactile and comfortable to wear.

The gentle court D profile is only 6mm wide by 2.5mm deep and can be personalised with a short burnt inscription on the inside of the ring. Each whisky cask ring will be made to your specific size and will have its own unique grain colour and pattern - please give your inscription details and UK or US ring size in form after adding to bag.

Each ring is protected with a hardwearing gloss varnish which allows the beauty of the wood grain to shine through.

Wood Of Life

Lignum Vitae has been used to make ‘Crown Green’ or ‘Lawn Bowls” bowling balls since the game was invented in the early eighteen hundreds. This incredibly hard wood is now on the endangered tree species list, therefore it gives me great satisfaction to be able to salvage these old Lignum bowling balls and give the wood a second life.

Lignum Vitae is also the latin translation for “wood of life” and what better way to celebrate life than by wearing a natural organic wooden ring.

This design measures 7mm wide by 2.5mm in depth and has a gentle court D profile and comfortable chamfer on the inside edges. A hard wearing deep gloss varnish is applied which allows the beauty of this unique wood grain to shine through. Please note Lignum Vitae has the unique ability to change colour on exposure to bright sunlight and can range between dark brown and green.

Please note that these are handcrafted from salvaged, reclaimed antique bowling balls, therefore each ring will have its own unique grain pattern, colour, knots and characteristics, making them unique every time.

Presented in an eco ring box as standard and handcrafted to your specific UK or US ring size - please give ring size in form when adding to bag.

We have started the year with high demand for our wooden rings - some as 5th wedding anniversary gifts, others in celebration of Valentine’s Day, but plenty ordered by customers wanting to take advantage of the special date this Leap Year - 29th February - to propose to their loved ones.

Our rings combining salvaged Whisky Barrel Oak and Titanium have proved to be particularly popular.

In response to demand we have introduced a few new wooden rings to our online shop, and we feel these deserve special mention. Our ‘Wood of Life’ ring has been a firm favourite over the years - made from Lignum Vitae this wood has the special characteristic of reacting on exposure to sunlight, meaning that the colour can range from dark brown to green.

With our salvaged Whisky Cask Oak proving to be so popular we now offer a simple rounded profile ring made from this delightful wood.

And to offer more choice for those looking for a ring that combines wood with metal, Ed has created a new design which combines stainless steel with Black Jet and Turquoise, resulting in a beautifully eye-catching ring.
